Box Score DE PERE - St. Norbert College improved to 2-0 halfway through a four-match weekend as the Green Knights topped Lawrence University 8-1 in a non-conference match at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Green Knights picked up a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Brett Daniels and Joe Pellechia beat Andrew Larson and Hikaru Takemura 8-4 at No. 1, while Anthony Michels and Brian Coulter beat Dylan Delgado and Rahul Sabnis 8-2 at No. 2. David Vandenberg and Josh Brown then topped Jackson Gross and Yuming Zhang 8-2 at No. 3.

Michels beat Takemura 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, followed by a 6-1, 6-2 victory for Vandenberg over Dylan Delgado at No. 3. Coulter defeated Zhang 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4 and Pellechia outlasted Sabnis 6-1, 7-6 (10-2) at No. 5. Brown defeated Kenneth Penaherrera 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 to close out the St. Norbert wins.

St. Norbert will wrap up its weekend homestand with duals against St. Mary's Univ. and UW-Stevens Point at Green Bay Tennis Center.
