DE PERE – St. Norbert College football has been invited to participate in the 2023 Cousins Subs Lakefront Bowl in Wauwatosa.
The Green Knights (7-3), appearing in their first-ever bowl game in the program's 89-season history, will face Monmouth College (8-2) at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Raabe Stadium in Wauwatosa. The game pits the runners-up of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference and Midwest Conference.
"The St. Norbert College football program is extremely grateful and excited to be chosen to represent the NACC in the Cousins Subs Lakefront Bowl against familiar foe Monmouth College," St. Norbert coach
Dan McCarty said. "It is a great opportunity for our players and program to prepare and compete one last time in the 2023 season."
While the Cousins Subs Lakefront Bowl is the first bowl game for the Green Knights, they are no stranger to post-season competition. St. Norbert has participated in 13 NCAA Division III Playoffs from its first appearance in 1989 to its most recent in 2018.
Prior to moving from the MWC to the NACC in 2021, St. Norbert and Monmouth squared off in the Midwest Conference Championship Game seven times, with the Green Knights winning five of those seven meetings. Overall, St. Norbert is 23-11 against the Fighting Scots in an all-time series dating back to 1975.
