
DE PERE - St. Norbert College faced nationally ranked UW-Whitewater and dropped a 3-0 decision in a non-conference match at Mulva Family Fitness & Sports Center.
The No. 10-ranked Warhawks (11-1) topped the Green Knights (8-9) by scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-9.
The Green Knights held an 11-4 lead in the second set before the Warhawks went on a 13-3 run to take a 17-14 edge. St. Norbert then scored three straight points, but Whitewater got a sideout to swing the momentum back in its favor.
St. Norbert had 29 kills and 31 errors in 120 attempts.
Brooke Clement had 12 kills, while
Molly Rader and
Linnea Svennes had five each.
Ellie Hartson had 15 assists, while
Devon Nardoni added 11 helpers.
Liz Maastricht finished with two service aces.
Maastricht paced the back row with 16 digs, while Clement added 12. Clement had three blocks, while Rader and Svennes had two apiece.
Whitewater hit .280 with 36 kills and eight errors in 100 attempts. Kirsten Anderson and Jenna Weinfurt had seven kills apiece to lead the Warhawks.
