
RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Late pushes by St. Norbert College in all three sets lifted the Green Knights to a 3-0 win over Dominican University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Igini Sports Forum.
The Green Knights defeated the Stars 25-22, 25-22, 25-20. St. Norbert got several key points down the stretch in all three sets to seal the victory.
St. Norbert led 21-20 in the first set and then scored three straight points, including kills from
Molly Rader and
Brooke Clement. The Green Knights then trailed 21-19 and 22-21 in the second set before closing out with another flurry.
Emily Terry, Rader,
Grace Baumann and
Devon Nardoni all had kills during the decisive 6-1 run. In the third set, St. Norbert trailed 14-12 before going on a 5-0 run. The Green Knights led 22-20 before scoring the match's final three points to clinch the win.
The Green Knights hit .208 for the match, with 44 kills and 18 errors in 125 attempts. Baumann led all players with 17 kills. Clement added eight and Rader six kills. Nardoni finished with 20 assists and
Ellie Hartson added 14. Nardoni also added three service aces.
Liz Maastricht had a match-high 17 digs, while Baumann added 12 and Clement 10. Clement finished with three blocks and
Linnea Svennes two.
Dominican hit .100, with 26 kills and 15 errors in 110 attempts. Gabija Sinickaite led the Stars with nine kills.
