DE PERE – St. Norbert College was held in check in a 5-0 loss to Illinois Tech in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (2-5-1, 1-1 NACC) trailed by two goals after the opening 10 minutes as the scoreline held at halftime. A 15-minute surge from the Scarlet Hawks in the second half produced three more goals.
The Green Knights thought they had claimed a goal at 42:31 courtesy of an own goal by Illinois Tech, but Gracie Adrian was ruled to be offside.
Leah Hess made several good stops in her 74 minutes played. Jazmin Morales made one save in relief.
The Green Knights will roll on in conference play next week against Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday.
