
DE PERE – St. Norbert College track and field qualified three athletes to competition at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championship.
The Green Knights will be represented on the men's side by senior
Ezra Schermacher and junior
Jacob Klitzke. Junior
Eden Maranell will compete in the women's championship. The meet will be held Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
Schermacher, a Plymouth native, is competing at the NCAA indoor championship for the fourth time. A two-time first-team All-America in the heptathlon, Schermacher qualified in the high jump and pole vault after posting season-high marks of 6 feet 9 inches and 16-5 1/4, respectively. He is tied for the No. 10 seeding in both events. The high jump will be held at 3:45 p.m. Saturday and the pole vault at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Klitzke, a Shiocton native, will compete in the shot put for the second consecutive NCAA indoor championship. Klitzke qualified after a season-best mark of 56-9 1/4 to be the No. 13 seeding in the event. The shot put will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Maranell, a Howards Grove native, is competing in her third NCAA indoor championship. Maranell has qualified in the triple jump in three consecutive seasons and is also competing in the pentathlon, which begins at 10:20 a.m. Friday. The triple jump, which Maranell featured a season-best mark of 38-5 1/2 to qualify, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday. Maranell is tied for the No. 12 seeding in the pentathlon and the No. 20 seeding in the triple jump.
