DE PERE – St. Norbert College hosted its inaugural Green Knight Career Combine, presented by Green Bay Packaging, providing student-athletes the opportunity to participate in mock interviews and connect with local employers.
The event, hosted last week, focused on professional development, allowing Green Knights to receive individualized feedback, expand their networks and sharpen their interview skills in preparation for life after college. Employers representing a variety of industries shared insights while helping student-athletes translate the skills they've developed through athletics into the professional world.
"The Career Combine is a commitment to our four departmental pillars and focus on developing the whole person," St. Norbert athletics director Cam Fuller said. "While our teams compete relentlessly in pursuit of championships, we are equally intentional about preparing our student-athletes for lifelong success. We are grateful to our presenting sponsor, Green Bay Packaging, and to our employer partners for investing their time and expertise to make this inaugural event possible."
For those in attendance, the experience provided both confidence and clarity.
"I think it's really important for student-athletes to show employers their abilities and how well-rounded they are, and this event gives them a special opportunity to do that," said Allison Unverzagt, a sophomore on the women's tennis team.
St. Norbert Athletics looks forward to growing the event in the years ahead and establishing it as an annual opportunity for Green Knights to prepare for success beyond graduation.
