DE PERE - St. Norbert College got off to a solid start in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 6-1 win over Concordia University Wisconsin at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Green Knights (5-10, 1-0 NACC), picked for fourth place in the conference pre-season poll, swept the doubles matches to get the early jump on Concordia (9-4, 0-1), which was picked for third place.

Brett Daniels and Charlie Keller topped Hayden Latus and Murilo Zeni 6-4 at No. 1, while Ryan Garland and Nolan Pearson bested Ryan Bilan and Kristopher Greenhaw 8-3 at No. 2. Jackson Harpt and Owen McDonough outlasted Gustavo Funo and Renan Botelho 7-6 (10-8) at No. 3.

Daniels dispatched Latus 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Harpt nearly blanked Bilan 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3. Keller claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win over Funo. Pearson (pictured) picked up a three-set win over Botelho 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 5. Seth Kogutkiewicz defeated Greenhaw 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6.
