ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – St. Norbert College competed in its final matches of its Florida trip, falling 6-1 to UW-Eau Claire at Sanlando Park before dropping a 6-1 decision to Springfield College at USTA Campus.
Against Eau Claire, the Green Knights were swept in doubles play as the Blugolds claimed the doubles point after winning all three matches.
St. Norbert's lone victory came at No. 1 singles, where Brett Daniels (pictured) outlasted Pablo Rincon in a three-set battle, 7-6 (7-2), 3-7, 10-8. Ryan Garland also pushed his match to three sets at No. 2 before falling 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 8-10.
Against Springfield, the Green Knights dropped the doubles point, earning one win among the three matches. Daniels and Charlie Keller topped Tim Norin and Ethan Gomulka 6-3 at No. 1.
In singles play, St. Norbert picked up one victory, with Jackson Harpt earning a 6-3, 6-4 win over Gomulka at No. 4.
The Green Knights will begin Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play against Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Green Bay Tennis Center.
