
GRINNELL, Iowa - St. Norbert College finished in fourth place at the Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championship hosted by Grinnell College at Osgood Pool.
The Green Knights totaled 541.5 points, narrowly finishing behind third-place Lake Forest College's 576 points. Grinnell won the team title with 1,037.5 points, while Milwaukee School of Engineering was second with 852 points.
Owen Pittenger was named MWC Diver of the Year after claiming the conference titles in 1- and 3-meter diving.
Zach Hanse (pictured) led the Green Knights Day 4 efforts with a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:08.08.
The 400-yard freestyle relay of
Owen West,
Andrew Tonkovic,
Anton Peters and
Estevan Salazar finished fourth in 3:11.59.
West was fifth in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.29.
Dominick Azzolina was fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 16:41.55 and sixth in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:58.62. Peters was seventh in the 200 butterfly in 2:00.68. Salazar finished eighth in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.81 seconds and Tonkovic was ninth in 48.05 seconds.
