ADRIAN, Mich. – St. Norbert College fell 2-1 to No. 9 Adrian College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey League game at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (11-7-2, 8-3-2 NCHA) struck late in the second period after two Bulldogs goals to keep the game within reach, as Ali Sanders (pictured) scored at 16:59 with assists from Emily Bill and Sydney Zurawik. St. Norbert generated a few chances to tie the game in the third period but was unable to convert.
Adrian built its lead earlier in the second period, opening the scoring with a power-play goal from Courtney Ben at 6:28. The Bulldogs added a second goal at 15:13 from Carly Carpenter.
The Green Knights were outshot 33-21. Keira Markell recorded 31 saves on the night, with 17 coming in the third period. Kiera Stack of Adrian made 20 saves.
St. Norbert went 0-for-3 on the power play while Adrian went 1-for-2.
