Late Run Leads to St. Norbert Victory

MEQUON – St. Norbert College opened 2026 with a 58-48 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at R. John Buuck Field House.

The Green Knights (5-5, 3-0 NACC) played in their first game in nearly two weeks and escaped a setback in the fourth quarter with a 16-5 run in the final seven minutes to remain perfect in the conference standings.

Trailing 9-4 in the first quarter, St. Norbert tied the game at 11-11 at 2:36 thanks to an offensive spark from Rose Hahn (pictured), who hit a three to tie the game. Another three from Oakley Witteck at the buzzer gave the Green Knights a 16-13 lead after the opening 10 minutes. The two teams traded the lead several times in the second quarter until treys from Marnie Kahl and Reese Sellers in the final two minutes of the half gave the Green Knights a slight 31-26 lead at halftime.

Both teams were held to only nine points in the third quarter, but with two layup buckets from Witteck, St. Norbert held a 40-28 lead with 2:51 left in the third. The Falcons closed on the lead in the final few moments of the third and eventually took a 43-42 lead with 7:17 left in the fourth.

St. Norbert took the lead back thanks to six quick points from Taylor Thiry, while Hahn added seven in the final six minutes during the final 16-5 St. Norbert run. The Falcons briefly came within two points of the lead with 2:49 left before free throws put the game out of reach.

St. Norbert shot 43.4 percent from the floor (23-for-53). Hahn had a season-high 18 points, while Witteck had 13 points, going 6-of-8 shooting.

The Green Knights were outrebounded 35-30 by the Falcons.
