DE PERE - St. Norbert College earned its seventh straight win with a 85-61 victory over Concordia University Chicago in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Mulva Family Fitness and Sports Center.
The Green Knights (14-4, 11-0 NACC) trailed only momentarily in the first half before regaining the lead for good. The Green Knights held a sizeable lead thanks in part to three-point shooting, converting six from beyond the arc in each half. 3-pointers from Jaeden Grade and Derek Shaw in the middle of the first half gave St. Norbert a 18-7 advantage as St. Norbert held a double-digit lead for most of the first half.
The Cougars cut the lead down to 10 points with just over two minutes remaining in the first half before another three from Cole Uhlenbrauck (pictured) made it a 37-24 lead for the Green Knights going into the half.
A 13-4 run at the start of the second half made it a 50-28 lead for the Green Knights, with more treys from Grade and Uhlenbrauck expanding the lead. The Cougars never got closer than 20 points from the lead for most of the second half, with a St. Norbert response always silencing any momentum the visitors thought they might have had. St. Norbert went on to lead by as many as 31 points in the second half.
St. Norbert converted nearly half its shots from the floor, shooting 49.3 percent (33-for-67). Will Stuckey and Uhlenbruack each had 14 points while Grade and Shaw each had nine off the bench.
Concordia Chicago shot 37.7 percent from the floor (23-for-61). Aaron Brown and Sebastian Hill each had 11 points for the Cougars.
