FOND DU LAC - St. Norbert College opened up Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 5-0 win over Marian University at Smith Field.
The Green Knights (3-4, 1-0 NACC) struck twice in the first half and added three more goals in the second to record their second straight shutout victory. St. Norbert controlled play throughout the game, outshooting Marian 17-3.
Hayden Dunn opened the scoring at 30:16 with assists from
Everett Saeger and
Evan Baird.
Joe Anguil added another goal unassisted on a scramble at 36:22.
Joe Lewcock (pictured) extended the margin to 3-0 with an assist from Dunn just 44 seconds into the second half.
Lewcock added a second goal at 50:18 off a Baird assist, and Saeger tallied the final goal unassisted in the 61st minute, marking his first goal of the season.
St. Norbert put ten of their 17 shots on target and led in corners 14-2. Saeger finished with four shots, while five other Green Knights had two.
Jackson Kiszka and
Adan Martinez-Ponce both saw minutes in goal, with Kiszka saving the Sabres' one shot on target.
