MEQUON - St. Norbert College won four three-set singles matches to pick up a hard-fought 5-2 win over Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at CUW Tennis Courts.
The Green Knights (2-0, 2-0 NACC) fell behind early when the Falcons won two of three matches to pick up the doubles point.
Jordan Domnick and
Allison Unverzagt gained St. Norbert's lone doubles win with a 6-3 win over Maddie Brashaw and Claire Kelley at No. 1.
Alyssa Tegen's 6-2, 6-3 win over Katelyn Guzman at No. 5 singles brought the Green Knights to within 2-1, with the other four matches all going three sets. St. Norbert was able to win all four matches despite dropping the first set in each of them.
Domnick's 1-6, 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kelley at No. 1 leveled the match at 2-2.
Madeline Diefenthaler topped Taylor Weiner 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 for a 3-2 lead. Unverzagt (pictured) clinched the match with a 5-7, 7-5, 6-1 win over Brashaw at No. 2 singles.
Anna Vechart defeated Payton Steward 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
