DE PERE - St. Norbert College came up short with a 4-3 loss to Illinois Institute of Technology in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Green Knights (2-1, 2-1 NACC) started off strong with a sweep of all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point, despite falling behind to Illinois Tech (3-1, 3-0) in singles play.
Jordan Domnick and
Allison Unverzagt (pictured) topped Martyna Kalinowska and Thea Salcedo with a 6-4 score at No. 1.
Alyssa Tegen and
Irene Multhauf defeated Maddalena Dumangane and Maia Lecuona Ramos at No. 2.
Anna Vechart and
Anna Krupka capped the sweep with a 7-6 (11-9) win over Paige Geiger and Angelica Conwell at No. 3.
Tegen and
Madeline Diefenthaler claimed St. Norbert's two singles wins. Tegen earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Geiger at No. 5, while Diefenthaler finished off with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Conwell at No. 6.
