Green Knights Clipped at North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. – St. Norbert College fought to a tight 1-0 loss at North Park University, conceding a goal in the second half in a non-conference game at Holgren Stadium.  

The Green Knights (0-5) held their own till 53:26 when the Vikings scored the lone goal of the game from Tilda Karlsson.  

Taylor Wilson made multiple saves in the first half, with the Green Knights best opportunity coming from Michelle Piro at 40:12. Mackenzie Schneider (pictured) had several opportunities in the second half that troubled the Vikings off free kicks, while another Piro opportunity at 83:16 proved to be the best opportunity on the day with North Park keeper Paige MacRitchie having to extend an arm near the top woodwork.  

Piro led with three shots, while both of Schneider's hit their mark. Danielle Dewar added one further shot on goal.  

Wilson made seven saves for the Green Knights, while MacRichie made five.  

St. Norbert was outshot 25-10. The Green Knights had three corners compared to one for North Park, while both teams committed five fouls.
