ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College concluded its opening weekend in Minnesota against Macalester College, falling 4-0 in a non-conference game at Macalester Stadium.
The Green Knights (0-2) were hit with a major setback in the first half after the opening 30 minutes, with the Scots scoring three of their four goals in a seven-minute stretch. Macalester added one more goal in the second half as Alex Beck-Ruiz scoring at 64:09.
St. Norbert's best chance on goal came from Dominic Lagona in the first half, whose shot came out over the top of the Macalester goal.
Substitute goalkeeper Adan Martinez-Ponce made seven saves, playing for nearly 80 minutes.
The Green Knights were outgained 8-0 in corner kicks. Both teams committed seven fouls each.
