ALAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - St. Norbert College wrapped up its Florida trip with a split in two duals, falling 6-1 to St. John's University and defeating Crown College 6-1 at Salando Park.
Against the Johnnies, Brett Daniels picked up the lone team point with a victory at No. 1, defeating Ryan Will 6-2, 6-3. Daniels and Jackson Harpt also won at No. 1 doubles, defeating Will and Cooper Anderson 8-2.
The Green Knights fared better against Crown, winning five of the six singles contests and all three doubles matches. Daniels and Brian Coulter won at No. 1 doubles 6-0 over David Comings and Dawson Richardson, while Joe Pellechia and Nolan Pearson won at No. 2 doubles 6-1 against Austin Droeger and Gavin Leuthold.
In singles play, Coulter won at No. 2 over Leuthold 6-0, 6-4. Owen McDonough (pictured) followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 over Richardson, while Seth Kogutkiewicz topped Droeger 6-2, 6-1.
Nathan Darrow won at No. 5 over Tyler Kretsinger 6-2, 6-2, while Pellechia won via forfeit at No. 6.
