Hogan Sisters Lead Green Knights to Rout Over Foresters

DE PERE – St. Norbert College had yet another history making night at Resch Olympic Pavilion, as senior Courtnie Hogan (pictured) became the program's all-time leading point scorer with an assist to her sister Natalie Hogan in the Green Knight's 8-3 rout over Lake Forest College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association series opener.

The Green Knights (17-4-1, 13-1-1 NCHA) made another major step towards a regular season NCHA title, as they scored four goals in the third period to cruise past the Foresters.

After falling behind at 3:45 in the first period, St. Norbert tied the game from a Jo Mahlum goal at 10:08 in the first period. The Green Knights then took a 2-1 lead from Natalie Hogan at 5:14 in the second period. Hogan scored a hat trick for the Green Knights in the win, with her second coming from an assist from sister Courtnie Hogan. Maddie Maden also scored in the second period, putting the Green Knights up 3-1 at 8:10 in the second period.

The Foresters scored less than 30 seconds later from a Jamine Kohl goal at 8:28 before Natalie Hogan scored her second of the period at 15:48 for the game-winner.

Tristan Wicklund and Grace Wittkopf scored two in less than 30 seconds in the third period, before Lexi Bonfe added a seventh at 7:08 on a St. Norbert power play. The Foresters again scored just seconds after the Green Knights, but Natalie Hogan's third of the night at 8:47 sealed a Green Knights thrashing.

Kelsey Ross had a hat trick of assists in the outing for a 3-point game, while Wicklund finished with a goal and a pair of assists. Madden and Bonfe had one goal and assist each.
