DE PERE – St. Norbert College found the net twice to take down Trine University 2-0 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association matchup at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights (9-2, 6-1 NCHA) scored both goals in the closing minutes of the first period, with the remainder of the game going scoreless. Abby Pieper (pictured) scored her fifth goal of the season at 14:49 off an assist from Ava Anick. Annalee Holzer extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal just ten seconds before the end of the first period, with help from Ali Sanders.

St. Norbert outshot Trine 40-18. Keira Markell made 18 saves for the Green Knights, while Annie Kindseth recorded 38 for the Thunder.

St. Norbert converted on one of five power play chances, and Trine went 0-for-4.
