DE PERE – It was third straight game with a shutout for St. Norbert College, defeating Trine University 2-0 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey League game at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights (10-2, 7-1 NCHA) outshot the Thunder 52-13 in a game thoroughly controlled by St. Norbert from the first puck drop to the final whistle.
After a scoreless first period, the Green Knights broke through on a power play when Claire Healy scored at 6:59 from Annalee Holzer (pictured). Holzer added one goal herself at 19:42.3 from a Briar Charchenko helper.
Tanith Plachetka kept her second consecutive shutout and third overall this season with 13 saves. Annie Kindseth made 50 stops for the Thunder.
St. Norbert was 1-for-1 on the power play. Trine had no power play opportunities.
