Green Knights Held to Draw Against Cougars

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - St. Norbert College fought to a 1-1 draw with Concordia University Chicago in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Concordia Stadium.  

The Green Knights (2-9-1, 2-3-1 NACC) tallied their first draw of the season, scoring a goal in the first half from defender Mackenzie Schneider (pictured), her second of the week. Schneider's high-flying shot came from 45 yards out and sneaked past the Concordia keeper's fingertips at 30:26. 

The Cougars equalized just after halftime at 48:15 to make it 1-1. Addie Schneider had several looks on goal in the second half which were saved, who was looking to add yet another goal this week following a hat trick on Wednesday.  

St. Norbert was outshot 19-9 and trailed 5-0 in corner kicks. Taylor Wilson made nine saves for St. Norbert, six of which came in the second half.  

Three of Addie Schneider's four shots hit on target. Meredith Poskanski had two shots, while Lexi Fredenhagen and Shelby Busch each had one shot.  

Angelina Barreno scored Concordia's goal in the second half. Brooke Sheriff made four saves for the Cougars.
