APPLETON – St. Norbert College unofficially got its 2025-26 men's hockey season underway with a 7-0 exhibition win over Lawrence University at Appleton Family Ice Center.
Following a scoreless first period, the Green Knights broke through with three second-period goals.
Logan Dombrowsky scored unassisted at 8:33, and
Jack Seaverson scored just six seconds later to put St. Norbert up 2-0.
Calvin Hanson scored at 16:07 for a 3-0 edge.
St. Norbert pulled away with a four-goal third period.
Ryan Gingher potted a goal at 5:02, followed by a
Gustav Portillo power-play marker at 6:52. Seaverson then scored a shorthanded goal at 15:27 and Portillo followed again at 17:25 to close out the scoring.
Portillo finished with two goals and one assist for three points. Seaverson had two goals for two points, while Hanson had one goal and one assist for two points.
St. Norbert outshot Lawrence 38-15. Three goaltenders saw action for the Green Knights, with
Hunter Garvey making five saves in the first period,
Vaughn Makar six saves in the second period and
Collin Lemanski with four stops in the third period.
The Green Knights were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Vikings were 0-for-4.
