St. Norbert's Late Goal Forces Draw

PLYMOUTH – St. Norbert College battled to a 2-2 draw with Lakeland University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup at Taylor Field.

The Green Knights (3-12-2, 3-5-2 NACC) added their second tie of the season, with both teams scoring one goal in each half. The Muskies opened the scoring with a goal at 24:19, but Lexi Fredenhagen (pictured) responded seven minutes later, converting a pass from Mackenzie Schneider at 31:12 to tie it up heading into halftime.

Lakeland regained the lead early in the second half, but the Green Knights rallied late. Addie Schneider found the back of the net in the 86th minute, heading in a corner from Mackenzie Schneider, who tallied her second assist of the game to secure the 2-2 draw.

St. Norbert held a 4-1 edge in corners and outshot Lakeland 22-6. Seven different Green Knights combined for 15 shots on goal, with four coming from Addie Schneider and three from Abigail Rabideau.

Leah Hess played all 90 minutes in goal, making two saves.

Malaya Sperber scored both goals for the Muskies.
