ROCKFORD, Ill. - St. Norbert College earned a 3-0 shutout victory over Rockford University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Sam Greeley Field.
The first half of the game went scoreless, but the Green Knights (6-5, 4-1 NACC) broke through in the second half, striking three times in sixteen minutes to secure the win.
Hayden Dunn (pictured) scored the first goal early in the second half at 51:26 off an assist from
Kevin Ramirez.
Everett Saeger extended the lead to 2-0 just one minute later with an unassisted goal at 52:25.
Joe Anguil capped the scoring with a goal off a Dunn assist at 67:21 to seal the victory.
St. Norbert placed 17 of their 33 shots on target, led by Dunn and Ramirez with three apiece.
Dominic Lagona,
Alex Sada, and Anguil each added two shots on goal. The Regents tallied six total attempts with just one on frame, and the Green Knights held a 9-5 advantage in corners.
Jackson Kiszka,
Adan Martinez-Ponce, and
Teodor Sand all appeared in goal, with Kiszka saving Rockford's lone shot on target.
