MILWAUKEE – St. Norbert College gave nationally ranked Wisconsin Lutheran College some early trouble but couldn't find an advantage in the second half as the Green Knights fell 72-60 in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference game at Time of Grace Center.
The Green Knights (9-4, 5-1 NACC) found some momentum going into halftime on a 8-2 run in the final minute of the first half but fell behind by double digits in the second half as the Warriors held a firm advantage the rest of the way.
Both teams traded the lead in the first half, with five lead changes taking place in the first ten minutes. St. Norbert couldn't find separation when it had the lead, as several two-point leads faded away. Cole Uhlenbrauck, Brandt Wilson and Connor Pytleski kickstarted the Green Knights' run in the final minute to cut the lead to a manageable 33-27 deficit.
The Warriors started the second half on a 7-0 run, with St. Norbert not being able to get much offense going after the promising end to the first half. Uhlenbrauck was able to bring the lead back down to 10 points, but it would be the closest St. Norbert would get the rest of the way.
