DE PERE - St. Norbert College got its women's tennis season open in fine fashion with a 6-1 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Green Bay Tennis Center.

The Warriors would earn the doubles point - Division III college scoring has returned to one doubles point this season - with a pair of wins to take the early 1-0 lead, but St. Norbert swept all six singles matches en route to the win.

Jordan Domnick and Alyssa Tegen picked up the Green Knights' doubles win with a 6-3 victory over Tai Mitchell and Desirae Pugh 6-3 at No. 3.

Domnick won a tiebreaker at No. 1 singles with a 6-7 (1-7), 7-5, 1-0 (10-5) victory over Ali Schmidt. Allison Unverzagt tripped Maddy Olson 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2, while Grace Peters beat Joelle Smith 6-3, 7-5 at No. 3.

Anna Vechart (pictured) also picked up a tiebreaker win with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) triumph over Amelia Kelley at No. 4. Mayghan Bongle topped Mitchell 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, while Irene Multhauf defeated Pugh 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6.
