Green Knights Concede Early and Late to St. John's

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - St. Norbert College men's soccer fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of St. John's University (Minnesota) on Saturday, in a game that saw the Green Knights concede goals both early and late in the game.  

The Johnnies had several opportunities just minutes into the game and would score with an Alex Bowman goal at 5:42.  The Green Knights had several shots after conceding early, with Dominic Lagona forcing a top corner save from St. John's keeper Evan Siefken.  

Joe Meade and Davis Vega both had several chances in the second half but could not convert their chances to goals.  

Two late goals past the 80th minute secured a St. John's win, including one from Isaiah Silver, who scored with less than a minute to play for the third and final goal of the day.  

The Green Knights did make 11 attempts at goal, but only two hit their mark. Despite this, St. Norbert was out shot 16-11 by the Johnnies. The Green Knights also had three cornerns in the first half, but only were able to get one opportunity after the break. 

 Nate Jocz made four second half saves to keep St. Norbert in the game until the final ten minutes.
