DE PERE – St. Norbert College men's soccer fell to defeat in its home opener against Augsburg University, conceding three goals in the first half in a frustrating 4-1 defeat for the Green Knights.  

The Auggies got on the scoreboard just four minutes into the contest, with Muhamed Keita getting his first of two goals in the first half. Keita would score his brace at 21:36, as the Green Knights couldn't muster much offense against the visitors.  

Matters wouldn't improve near the end of the half, as the Auggies converted a penalty kick after Eric Rirea was brought down in the box at 40:32.  

A bright moment early in the second half would lead to St. Norbert's first shot on target, as Joe Anguil scored off a cross from Joe Meade to give the Green Knights some life. The assist was Meade's second of the weekend, having assisted once in the 2-2 tie against UW-Stevens Point on Friday.  

Keita would again prove to be Augsburg's greatest threat going forward, as he earned his fifth point of the day with an assist to Mizael Harris for Augsburg's fourth goal of the day. 

Despite keeping pace with the visitors in corners, the Green Knights couldn't find shots to hit on target until the second half, as they were outshot 17-5.  

Nate Jocz made three saves in the second half for St. Norbert, while Augsburg keeper Frankie Pinto made two.
