MEQUON - St. Norbert College couldn't hold on to a second-game lead and was swept by Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference doubleheader 4-1 and 7-6 at Kapco Park.
The Green Knights had built a 6-1 lead in the nightcap behind
Will DeBruin's three-run home run in the first inning and another three runs in the fourth inning, sandwiched around a third-inning run by the Falcons.
Matt Schuch had an RBI groundout,
Devin Geary an RBI single and Geary scored on a balk as the Green Knights led 6-1 going into the sixth inning.
Concordia would score five runs on three hits and two St. Norbert errors in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Falcons would get the go-ahead run in the eight inning. The Green Knights were retired in order in the ninth inning.
Reinhardt and
Matt Perry were both 2-for-3 for the Green Knights.
Danny Heise took the loss, allowing three hits and two runs in 2 2/3 innings pitched of relief.
In the opener, Concordia scored single runs in the first, second and fourth innings to take a 3-0 lead. St. Norbert got a run in the fifth inning when Perry's two-out single scored
Jaden Holgado. The Falcons would get an insurance run in the sixth and closed out the game in the seventh.
Holgado was 2-for-4 for St. Norbert, which had six hits.
Jason Schroeder took the complete-game loss, allowing six hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
