DE PERE - St. Norbert College got back to .500 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Lakeland University by scores of 17-1 and 8-5 at Van Alstine Field at Mel Nicks Sports Complex.
The Green Knights (14-15, 7-7 NACC) pounded out 34 hits in the twinbill, registering 17 in each game.
St. Norbert got on the board right away in the opener, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Devin Geary, with Holgado later scoring on a wild pitch.
Matt Perry then had an RBI double and
A.J. Kisting a run-scoring single. The Green Knights added a pair of runs in the second inning for a 6-0 lead, scoring on an
Trevor Reinhardt RBI single and Holgado scoring on
Zach Bostrand's RBI groundout.
Lakeland got a run in the third inning but the Green Knights scored three times in the fourth inning. Bostrand and Perry had RBI doubles and Kisting an RBI single for a 9-1 lead. The Green Knights broke the game open with an eight-run fifth inning. Reinhardt had an RBI double and Perry then walked with the bases loaded. Kisting had another RBI single and
Tyler Pigeon followed with a bases-clearing three-run double. Geary had a run-scoring single and Reinhardt followed with a sacrifice fly. St. Norbert added a run in the sixth inning on Kisting's RBI double to score
Sam O'Leary.
Kisting was 4-for-5 with four RBI, while Geary was 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Reinhardt was 2-for-4 with three RBI, while Perry was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBI and a pair of doubles.
Jace Midbon got the win, allowing five hits with two walks and eight strikeouts in six innings pitched.
In the nightcap, Lakeland scored one run in the top of the first inning but the Green Knights countered with four runs in the bottom of the first. Reinhardt and Bostrand had RBI singles, while Perry added a two-run double. St. Norbert added two runs in the second inning on an RBI single by
Will DeBruin and a run-scoring groundout by Bostrand. The Green Knights scored twice more in the third inning on a two-run double by Reinhardt.
The Muskies would get three runs in the fourth to cut it to 8-4 but the game's only run in the final five innings came with a lone Lakeland tally in the ninth.
Pigeon was 3-for-4, while Bostrand was 3-for-5 wih two RBI. Reinhardt was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI. DeBruin was 2-for-3, while Perry was 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI.
Perry earned the win, allowing five hits with one walk and six strikeouts in six innings pitched.
Cooper Dykes worked the last three innings, allowing just one run with four strikeouts to earn the save.
On the day, DeBruin was hit by a pitch three times to run his season total to 16. That number set a new St. Norbert single-season record, surpassing the old mark of 14 set in 2013.
