ROSEMONT, Ill. - St. Norbert College continued Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play, dropping games of 5-0 and 11-2 at No. 22-ranked Dominican University at Parkway Bank Sports Complex Stadium.
The Green Knights collected three hits in the opener, while the Stars slowly pulled away. Dominican scored two runs in the third and then added one run in each of the next three innings to lock up the win.
Nicole Condon,
Zoe Zasada and
Karleigh Linssen all had hits for St. Norbert, with Zasada poking a double.
Addison Race took the loss, allowing four earned runs on eight hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
In the nightcap, St. Norbert took an early lead when it scored a run in the top of the first inning on Linssen's RBI grounder to score Condon, who reached on a double. Dominican would answer with eight runs on six hits in the bottom of the second inning. The Stars would add three runs in the third inning to build an 11-1 run. St. Norbert added a run in the fourth inning when Condon's single brought around
Meredith Manke.
Condon was 3-for-3 to lead the Green Knights at the plate.
Bailie Thielen was charged with the loss in one-plus inning of work.
