MADISON - St. Norbert College continued Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 3-1 loss to Edgewood College at Todd Wehr Edgedome.

The Eagles topped the Green Knights 25-20, 25-20-, 23-25, 25-18.

St. Norbert was within two points three times late in Set 1, the last coming at 21-19. Edgewood would go on a 3-0 run to take control and eventually take a 1-0 lead. The Green Knights would again trail 21-19 and then 22-20 in Set 2, but the Eagles closed out the set with a 3-0 run for a 2-0 edge.

The Green Knights would rally in Set 3, with Edgewood leading 19-15, 20-17, 22-20 and 23-21. Following an Edgewood service error, an Owen Knezevich kills tied it at 23-23. Edgewood then had an attacking error and Bennett Kornaus brought St. Norbert to within 2-1 with a service ace. St. Norbert trailed early in Set 4 at 7-2 and eventually fell behind 16-9 and couldn't recover.

St. Norbert hit .133 as a team, posting 38 kills against 21 errors in 128 attempts. Kaden Kornaus had seven kills, while Barry Applewhite and Kade Nelson had six each. Michael Whitney had 24 assists, while Nelson had two service aces.

Ryan Conway had a match-high 19 digs, with Jackson Corcoran added 11. Whitney had five blocks and Nelson four.

Edgewood hit .257 with 57 kills against 20 errors in 144 attempts. Gavin Patterson led the Eagles with 20 kills.
