CLERMONT, Fla. - St. Norbert College used a late rally to finish a split of its two games at the Rebel Games at Hancock Park.
The Green Knights opened their day with a 12-3 loss to Macalester College before bouncing back to top University of Chicago 4-3.
St. Norbert trailed Chicago 3-2 entering the top of the seventh inning but scored the eventual game-winning runs when
Lilly Haase's two-out, two-run single pushed across
Andrianna Volz and
Allison Ardito for a 4-3 lead.
The Green Knights took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when
Christina Paleka had an RBI single to score Ardito, who had led off the game with a double. Chicago responded with three runs on five hits in the bottom of the inning. St. Norbert got a run back in the third inning when Ardito reached on a single and later came around to score on a wild pitch.

Addison Race settled in, retiring 16 of the last 17 hitters she faced and not allowing a hit in the last five innings. Race allowed six hits and struck out five in the complete-game effort.
Ardito was 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while
Karleigh Linssen was 2-for-3 with a double.
Against Macalester, the Scots scored three runs in the second inning for a 3-0 lead. St. Norbert answered with two runs in the third inning on
Nicole Condon's two-run double. Macalester scored four runs in the fourth inning and pulled away with five runs in the top of the seventh. Haase's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning closed out the scoring.
Condon was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in.
Abby Radtke took the loss, allowing seven runs in 3 1/3 innings pitched.
