ORLANDO, Fla. - St. Norbert College opened its spring-break trip to Florida with a pair of matches at the USTA National Campus.
The Green Knights opened with a 7-2 loss to NAIA foe University of St. Francis (Ind.) before falling 8-1 to Roger Williams University.
St. Norbert picked up a pair of singles wins against St. Francis.
Brett Daniels picked up a tiebreaker win over Alfredo Huamani-Tello 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 at No. 1, while
Owen McDonough also claimed a tiebreaker victory over Will Daigle at No. 6 by a score of 7-6, 4-6, 1-0.
Against Roger Williams,
David Vandenberg fashioned the Green Knights' lone win with a 6-2, 2-6, 10-7 win over Cooper Brown at No. 6 singles.
St. Norbert had its schedule change for its third day of competition. The Green Knights' match against Anderson (Ind.) University was canceled due to travel issues for the Ravens, so St. Norbert will face NCAA Division II West Chester (Pa.) University at 11 a.m. EDT at the USTA National Campus.
