DUBUQUE, Iowa - St. Norbert College opened its final regular-season series with a 3-0 win over the University of Dubuque in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at ImOn Arena.
The Green Knights (17-6, 14-3 NCHA) scored a goal in each of the three periods, while
Hunter Garvey posted 16 saves for his third shutout of the season.
Adam Stacho got the Green Knights on the board when he scored off
Logan Dombrowsky and
Adam Szubert assists at the 16:31 mark of the first period. St. Norbert doubled its lead midway through the second period when
Liam Fraser scored a power-play marker at 10:45 off Stacho and Dombrowsky helpers. Fraser's goal was his 15th overall and 10th on the power play this season.
St. Norbert put the game away when Stacho scored his 14th goal of the year at 9:30 of the third period, with Fraser assisting.
Stacho had two goals and one assist for three points, while Fraser had one goal and one assist for two points. Dombrowsky had two assists for two points.
St. Norbert outshot Dubuque 38-16. Chris Curr made 35 saves for the Spartans.
The Green Knights were 1-for-8 on the power play, while Dubuque was 0-for-2.
