LISLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College returned to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 3-0 loss to Benedictine University at Rice Center.
The Green Knights (8-7, 1-2 NACC) were turned away by the Eagles (7-6, 2-0) by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.
St. Norbert struggled to get any offense going against a bigger Benedictine side, hitting just .132 with 28 kills against 18 errors in 76 attempts.
Mason Werner led the Green Knights with seven kills, while
Owen Knezevich added five and
Logan Crowther four.
Michael Whitney had 16 assists.
Ryan Conway finished with seven digs, while
Jackson Corcoran added six. Crowther had three blocks and Kornaus two.
Benedictine hit .356 with 36 kills and 10 errors in 73 attempts. Cooper Armstrong led the Eagles with 11 kills, while Chase Olson added seven service aces.
