DE PERE - A busy weekend for St. Norbert College that featured four dual matches in three days came to a close with an 8-1 win over Lawrence University and a 9-0 victory over Ripon College at Green Bay Tennis Center.
The Green Knights (4-4) got the day off to a good start with three doubles wins over Lawrence.
Brett Daniels and
Joe Pellechia topped Dylan Delgado and Andrew Larson 8-3 at No. 1.
Jackson Harpt and
Brian Coulter defeated Rahul Sabnis and Ethan Uribe 8-2 at No. 2, while
Anthony Michels and
David Vandenberg claimed an 8-3 win over Xander Priest and David Rothman at No. 3.
Daniels fashioned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Larson at No. 1 singles, while Harpt topped Delgado 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2. Michels blanked Owen Horton 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3, while Vandenberg outlasted Gabriel Garcia 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 at No. 5. Coulter rounded out singles action with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Cole Witucki at No. 6.
Against Ripon, Daniels and Pellechia teamed up for an 8-6 win over Caleb Sippel and Austin Stevens at No. 1 doubles. Coulter and Harpt gained an 7-2 win over Ty Rondestvedt and Jaden Francis at No. 2, while Michels and Vandenberg blanked Jack Ives and Corey Mooney 8-0 at No. 3.
In singles, Daniels defeated Sippel 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1, followed by Harpt's 6-4, 6-2 win over Stevens at No. 2. Pellechia tipped Rondestvedt 7-6, 6-0 at No. 3, with Vandenberg beating Francis 7-5, 6-2 at No. 4. Coulter won a tiebreaker at No. 5 over Mooney 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6), while
Josh Brown defeated Ivens 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
