ANGOLA, Ind. - St. Norbert College got back in the win column with a 1-0 win over Trine University in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association contest at Thunder Ice Arena.
The Green Knights (9-2, 7-0 NCHA) scored their lone goal in the first period, with Lexi Bonfe (pictured) scoring her second goal of the season for St. Norbert's seventh straight win in conference play. Kelsey Ross and Jo Mahlum provided the assists on the goal.
The Green Knights had over 60 shots in the game, as they outshot the Thunder by over 40 shots. The Green Knights increased their shot output in each period, including 24 in the third period.
Lisa LaRoche had the most shots for the Green Knights with eight, while Ross had seven. Tristan Wicklund, Courtnie Hogan and Sydney Zurawik all had five.
Ashley Ommen made 17 stops for the Green Knights for her fifth win and fourth shutout of the year.
Annie Kendseth made 60 saves for Trine. Lauren Hassler led the Thunder with three shots on goal.
