Clean Sheet For St. Norbert In NACC Win

DE PERE - St. Norbert College kept Concordia University Chicago off the scoreboard and converted on a pair of chances en route to a 2-0 win in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (4-7, 3-3 NACC) had the run of play for much of the first half and was able to build a lead as a result.

St. Norbert outshot the Cougars 9-0 in the first half, but didn't break through on the scoreboard until the 42nd minute. The Green Knights converted at 41:56 when Haley Leadingham scored off a Danielle Dewar assist. It was Leadingham's fourth goal of the season.

The Green Knights struck in the first 10 minutes of the second half to double their lead. Emilie Harwood scored unassisted at 53:42 for her first goal of the season. Those two goals would stand up the rest of the way for St. Norbert, which outshot Concordia Chicago 17-7 overall.

Both teams had four corner kicks and six fouls. Leadingham posted a team-high seven shots, with two on goal. Aleah Reesman had four shots, with two on target.

Lily Collins played the first half and was the goalkeeper of record, getting credited with the win. Taylor Wilson worked the second half and made five saves to preserve the shutout.
