Green Knights Edged by Late Spartan Goals

MONTGOMERY, Ill. - St. Norbert College fell 3-1 to Aurora University in the penultimate match of the regular season. Two goals late in the second half was the difference for the Spartans.

Aurora scored early in the first half, as Branden Dolezal scored at 5:45 to take the early 1-0 lead. St. Norbert would fight their way back into the contest just 10 minutes later, with Joe Meade scoring his third goal of the season at 15:15.

Nate Jocz was made busy by the Spartans, making three saves after St. Norbert's equalizer.

Meade and Jonathan Hill had several opportunities in the second half, but it was Aurora who was able to retake the lead near the end of the half. The Spartans would score two goals just seconds apart, as the game became a 3-1 game in just under 30 seconds.

St. Norbert was outshot by Aurora, 13-8. The Spartans also held the edge in corners, 4-1.
