DE PERE – St. Norbert College fell 2-1 to Saint Mary's University in an exhibition contest at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
After a scoreless opening period, the Cardinals struck first and scored just several minutes after the start of the second. St. Norbert would find a way back into the game and at 12:14 in the second period, Natalie Hogan would score off a power play to tie the game, with assists coming from Courtnie Hogan (pictured) and Jo Mahlum.
The game would stay tied until the final eight seconds, when Saint Mary's was able to score on a power play of their own and steal the game from the Green Knights.
Three St. Norbert goalkeepers each saw a period of action. Ashley Ommen made five saves, Grendel Sprong 10 saves, and Keira Markell six saves.
St. Norbert outshot the Cardinals, 32-23. The Green Knights were 1-for-5 on the power play, while Saint Mary's went 1-for-3.
