DE PERE – St. Norbert College fell to Concordia University Wisconsin 3-1 in a midweek conference clash, with all four goals coming in the second half following a slow start by both sides in the first half.
Joe Lewcock had the first real chance of the game at 19:56, having his attempt into the top right saved by the Falcons keeper. Other than Stjepan Peharda's attempt near the end of the half, neither side would find the back of the net going into half.
The goals in the second half would all come in the final 15 minutes, in what picked up the pace for Concordia.
Their first goal, a direct free kick from outside the box, broke the tie at 76:46. Alisha Shairpov then connected with the second goal at 79:52, scoring a curling shot from the far side into the top left corner.
The Green Knights still had some fight and pressed forward after the second goal and it would pay dividends, as Matthew Wright headed home a Jonathan Hill cross at 82:04 to give the game another momentum swing.
However, Shairpov would score his second goal two minutes from time, downing the Green Knights.
St. Norbert outshot Concordia 14-11, with 10 of the shots coming in the second half. Ryan Fleming made two second half saves.
