DE PERE – St. Norbert College pulled off an impressive 1-0 win at home over Wisconsin Lutheran College, dominating the match till the final whistle at Schneider Stadium.
St. Norbert had multiple chances in the opening 20 minutes, with Jonathan Hill (pictured) coming close at 15:12, as his shot to the lower left corner was saved by Warrior's keeper Puma Galvan. The Green Knights would also not allow a single shot in the first half.
Just 25 seconds into the second half, Hill was able to put the winner away from a Jack Swicionis assist. The goal was Hill's third of the season.
Nate Jocz was called into action several times in the second half, making two saves.
Meade had three shots in the second half, all of them falling just wide of the net. Evan Baird nearly got a second goal for St. Norbert with just under ten minutes to play, but was saved by Galvan.
Jocz made his most important save of the game at 86:37, in what would prove to be the final chance for the Warriors.
St. Norbert outshot Wisconsin Lutheran 12-7 and had the only two corners of the game. Meade recorded the most shots for the Green Knights with four, while Hill had three.
The result puts St. Norbert in sixth place in the NACC table, who are now just four points outside the top four.
