Clean Sheet Again For Green Knights

DE PERE - St. Norbert College posted a second consecutive shutout by dominating the run of play in a 2-0 win over Illinois Institute of Technology in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights (5-7-3, 5-3-1 NACC) held a 22-1 advantage in shots and held possession for 59 percent of the time.

St. Norbert outshot the Scarlet Hawks 11-0 in the first half but the first 45 minutes were a scoreless tie. The Green Knights would break through in the 61st minute, when Joe Meade's cross found an unmarked Jonathan Hill directly out front of the cage, with Hill puffing the net off a blast for his fourth goal of the season.

The Green Knights picked up an insurance goal when Joe Anguil took a cross from Willem van den Akker that found its way through traffic, with Anguil tucking a shot inside the upper right corner at 72:20. It was Anguil's second goal of the season.

Nate Jocz did not have to make a save in 77 minutes of action. Ryan Fleming did not see a shot in 13 minutes of relief.

The Green Knights held an 8-1 edge in corner kicks, while Illinois Tech had 11 fouls to St. Norbert's six.
