ROCKFORD, ILL. - St. Norbert College fell 1-0 to Rockford University in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match on Saturday, conceding a late goal in the second half.
The Green Knights dominated most of the first half, having seven shots against the Regents one. Joe Meade and Payton Schilz tested the Rockford keeper early, but both attempts were saved.
The second half would see St. Norbert continued to attack the goal, having nine shots and forcing six saves. Schilz again had an opportunity, as well as Matthew Wright and Dominic Lagona.
Despite this, Rockford found a way to get past the Green Knight defense and Andrew Roth would score the winner at 81:31.
Schilz had one more look on goal in the game's final minute, with his third attempt on target being saved once again by Rockford keeper Wesley Pritzlaff.
St. Norbert outshot Rockford 16-6 and would also lead in corner kicks 5-0.
Nate Jocz made two saves for St. Norbert, while Pritzlaff made eight for Rockford.
