DE PERE - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play with a 5-0 win over Aurora University in a series opener at Resch Olympic Pavilion.
The Green Knights (12-4, 7-0 NCHA) scored a pair of power-play goals while
Brynn Waisman fashioned a 21-save shutout.
St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead through one period when
Briar Charchenko scored at the 16:07 mark.
The Green Knights added to their lead when
Natalie Hogan registered a power-play goal at 8:56 of the second period.
Morgan Olson then sniped a wrister from the left circle for a 3-0 lead at the 18:26 mark of the second.
St. Norbert put the game away with a pair of third-period goals.
Jo Mahlum scored a power-play goal at 11:58 and Hogan scored again at 13:15.
Olson had two assists to finish with a three-point game. Hogan had two points on her two goals, while
Claire Healy had two assists. Mahlum tallied an assist for a two-point game.
The Green Knights outshot the Spartans 27-21. St. Norbert was 2-for-4 on the power play, while Aurora was 0-for-3.
