DE PERE - St. Norbert College got a flurry of offense - scoring three goals in each half - to post a 6-1 win over College of St. Scholastica in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights fell behind early when St. Scholastica's Keegan Chastey scored on a breakaway just 3:52 into the match. St. Norbert would bust loose in the 20th minute, scoring two goals 65 seconds apart.
Tyler Bonin scored at 19:49 off a
John OConnor assist, while Bonin set up
Joe Meade at 20:54 for a 2-1 lead. Meade cashed in at 39:10 for a 3-1 lead, scoring off a
Jack Swicionis helper.
Bonin struck early in the second half, converting at 46:29 off a
Stjepan Peharda assist. Meade then posted his first career hat trick with a goal at 49:34 off another Bonin assist.
Charlie Neitzke closed out the scoring with 18 seconds remaining, finishing off a
Ben Swicionis assist.
Meade's six points were a career high and Bonin's six points matched a career high.
St. Norbert outshot St. Scholastica 12-4 with corner kicks even at 3-3. Meade had four shots, Neitzke three shots and Bonin two.
Nate Jocz saw one shot in 49 minutes, while
Ryan Fleming did not see a shot on goal in 41 minutes of relief. St. Scholastica's AliReza Basiri made two saves.
