MADISON - St. Norbert College had another nip-and-tuck Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference volleyball match, but dropped a 3-1 decision to Edgewood College at the Todd Wehr Edgedome.

The Green Knights, who lost their NACC opener last week in five sets, lost by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-16, 25-22.

The first set had 13 ties and four lead changes. St. Norbert led 12-9 until the set was tied at 12-12, and then the score seesawed points until the score reached 23-23. Edgewood then scored the last two points to take a 1-0 lead. St. Norbert held a small lead for much of the second set until Edgewood rallied to take a 21-19 lead. The Eagles still led 23-21 until St. Norbert went on a 5-1 run to get the set victory. The Green Knights never led in Set 3 and were only tied once at 5-5. In Set 4, St. Norbert led 20-17 until three-straight points by the Eagles knotted the score at 20-20. The set was tied 22-22 until Edgewood scored the last three points to seal the victory.

St. Norbert hit .108 in the match, with 39 kills against 24 errors in 139 attempts. Brooke Clement had 12 kills, while Alyssa Mills added 11. Ellie Hartson had 19 assists, while Heidi Colburn added 14. Clement had three service aces, while Hartson had two.

Erin Eggers finished with 25 digs, while Clement had 14 and Hartson 10. Alli Clark had four blocks, while Mills finished with three.

Edgewood hit .242, with 53 kills against 17 errors in 149 attempts. Ashley Bruehlman had a match-high 16 kills for the Eagles.
